The United Center

Description

The United Center, located on the west side of Chicago, Illinois, is the largest indoor sports arena in the United States by physical size. Named after sponsor United Airlines, the arena is home to the Chicago Blackhawks (NHL) and the Chicago Bulls (NBA). The arena has a capacity of 19,717 for hockey, 20,917 for basketball, and up to 23,500 for concerts.

The arena opened on August 18, 1994, and has since become a magnet for more than 20 million visitors, hosting more than 200 events annually. Among them are not only regular Bulls games, but also the Chicago Bulls and the Blackhawks, but also major concerts by famous artists such as U2, Mariah Carey, The Rolling Stones, Beyoncé and BTS.

Special attention has been paid to the acoustics of the arena, which allows it to recreate the famous "roar" of Chicago Stadium. Major sporting events such as the 1996, 1997 and 1998 NBA Finals have also taken place here, with the Chicago Bulls becoming champions at this arena in 1996 and 1997.
