Description

Rogers Arena, located at 800 Griffiths Way, Vancouver, is an iconic sports and entertainment venue for the city. Built in 1995, it is the new home of the Vancouver Canucks hockey team and temporarily the Vancouver Grizzlies basketball team. The stadium seats 18,810 spectators for hockey games and 19,700 for basketball games.

The arena is best known as the main hockey venue for the 2010 Olympics, where it was temporarily known as Canada Hockey Place. During the Olympics, the arena's capacity was increased to 19,300 spectators. In 2018, Rogers Arena hosted The International Dota 2 Championship, and in 2019, key matches of the World Junior Ice Hockey Championship were held there.

Since its opening, the arena has undergone several upgrades. In 2006, the lighting and main scoreboard were updated, and in 2008, the audio system was upgraded. These improvements have ensured a high-quality event experience, making Rogers Arena one of the premier sports arenas in North America.
