Description

Goucher College is a prestigious educational institution located in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Founded in 1885 as the Baltimore Female College on the initiative of Methodist bishops, the college has been named after John Franklin Goucher, a clergyman who made a significant contribution to its creation and development, since 1910. In 1953, the college was moved to Towson, where it remains to this day. Originally intended for girls, Goucher College has been coeducational since 1986.
