Opened in 2002, the Robert and Judy Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver is recognized as one of the premier university performing arts centers in the country. The center is a significant cultural space for the region, featuring high-quality acoustics and a diverse programming portfolio. At its core is the Newman Center Presents series, which showcases established and emerging artists from around the world. The center is home to the Lamont School of Music and the DU Theater Department, which produce hundreds of performances each year.

The $70 million Newman Center opened on April 18, 2003, with a lineup of renowned artists and acclaim from leading publications. Twenty years later, the Center continues to attract attention for its adventurous, insightful programming that has received national acclaim.
