Description
The Edmonds Center For the Arts (ECA) is a 700-seat, state-of-the-art performance venue located in Edmonds, Washington, just 20 minutes north of Seattle. ECA has earned a strong reputation in the central Puget Sound region for high-quality theater productions, vibrant live performances, and active involvement in education and outreach initiatives.
The Edmonds Center For the Arts is operated by the Edmonds Community Facilities District (PFD), a publicly funded agency that restored the historic Edmonds High School and transformed it into a state-of-the-art performance venue that opened in 2006. Working closely with the non-profit ECA Council of up to 24 members, the Edmonds PFD Board of Directors ensures the financial stability and successful operation of the Center.
ECA's repertoire features a variety of music, dance, comedy, and theater performances spanning a broad spectrum of genres from contemporary to classical, including pop, rock, jazz, blues, folk, world music, and Broadway shows. The Center curates approximately 30 performing artists each year and offers arts education programs and family activities for Edmonds residents and visitors alike.
ECA's facilities serve as a venue for more than 130 events per year, presented by local and touring artists and community organizations. The Edmonds Center for the Arts attracts more than 85,000 visitors annually.
